PVC-U Underground Drainage Pipe — 110 to 315mm

Sizes and applications
110mm and 160mm for house drains and building connections; 200mm, 250mm and 315mm for collection runs, site-wide drainage and sewer connections. Stiffness class should be selected for the depth of cover and the traffic loading over the run.
Jointing and laying
Joints are made with an elastomeric ring seal to BS EN 681-1. Lubricate the seal, insert to the witness mark and do not push the spigot hard against the socket shoulder — the gap is what allows the pipe to move. Bedding and surround material, trench width and compaction all matter more to long-term performance than the pipe itself; the Underground Installation Guide in the Technical Manual sets out the requirements.
Testing
Air or water test as the approving authority requires. BS EN 1610 is the reference for construction and testing of drains and sewers, and air test method LA is the recommended default.
